After 20 years of membership I submitted an entry for The National Hospital Radio Awards in 2006. This five minute compilation contained a mix of pieces taken from The Music Box, The Music Box for Christmas and The BRIDGEfm Music Mix.

The National Hospital Radio Awards were held on Saturday 1 April 2006 at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool. My entry in the Male Presenter of the Year category reached the final top ten shortlist and was "commended" at the ceremony.

I have been presenting programmes for Hospital Radio since April 1986. In July 1999 The Music Box was launched as part of the schedules of Hospital Radio Tayside and the programme was later made available to other Hospital Radio stations across the UK. An hour-long extended version of The Music Box, called Mirror Music, was also produced for Hospital Radio Tayside but has not yet been made more widely available. As the name suggests, The BRIDGEfm Music Mix is exclusive to BRIDGEfm Hospital Radio.

The Music Box is a series of thirty minute programmes of instrumental music. There are currently 64 programmes available.

In addition to producing generic promos to accompany The Music Box programmes I have also produced customised versions for various stations along with programmes wrappers to be played before and after the recorded programme. I have also produced a series of promos for BRIDGEfm Hospital Radio including those featured below for BRIDGEfm online, ODEON Dundee and station member Paul Robertson.

Naturally stations and presenters would like to have their own jingles and back in 1989 I bought my first presenter jingle. I was also asked to write the lyrics for a series of jingles for BRIDGEfm Hospital Radio and I liked them so much that in 2002 a matching The Music Box jingle completed the collection.

This jingle was bought from Dave Langer Creative Services back in 1989 and is still being used in my programmes today. Based on existing audio I wrote the lyrics to fit.
